[ENG] mercy is bad for the vision Ves2

mercy is bad for the vision
emperor e'vesdar

How long has it been? How old could he actually be? He counted the winters he had seen and suddenly felt old, he should be around eleven years old. He shakes his head and his long manes fall carelessly back in position. He didn't feel so old though, his muscles were trained and his body felt strong. He counted back again, it was around eight years ago that he was home for the last time, he missed home. He missed the smell of the horses he had known, he missed the forest that he knew so well. He missed the girl he had been friends with, he missed his past. And yet he knew it would never come back. It would never be the same.

He raises his head, gazes through the many gloomy shadows, his amber colored eyes hot and glowing like hot coals. It was a ghastly weather, he liked it that way. He liked the smell of the rain and the cold numb feeling his body gets when he's been too long in the rain. A sigh leaves his lips and he moves his body, his temperature dropped and he should move a bit to warm his muscles. With a strong powerful pace he evades the three's. The grass caresses his stomach and lashes his legs. He didn't care though, did he even care about anything? There were things he cared about, horses he had loved and lost. There were some who had earned his never ending loyalty, but they didn't care much, nobody really cared.

And maybe that was a good thing, with his job it was best to have no loved ones, to have no one to lose. He knew the shades could manipulate him into anything when they get a grip on one of his relatives, of one of his two sons. He would do anything for his sons, he would die for them. But that wasn't a strange thing to him, he has always given everything to protect the ones who were in need of protection. It was his job, and he was good at it. E'vesdar raises his head, his eyes follow the pastel colors in the sky, the rain that hits the ground. His coat is sodden and his manes stick to his body. A slight grin graced his lips, the charming typical one he had always worn. Looking at the majestic play of rain and thunder he doesn't see the mare near him. When he lowers his gaze he sees her, her coat sodden and sticky like his, a chuckle leaves his lips. 'Not the best weather to go out walking don't you think?' His eyes remain on her face, unabashedly looking at her. She had a beautiful pattern in her coat and her eyes were hot and golden like his. She reminded him of Morrow, and he didn't like that. He didn't wanted to think about the mare with the tiger stripes, he didn't wanted to feel how his heart skips a beat and his temperature rises. He didn't liked that feeling, and he didn't liked her. At least that's what he's been telling him self, mostly because Morrow hated him, and she was very clear of that.

Lost in thoughts he raises his head and tries to forget his memories, his feelings. His eyes catch hers again and he smiles, a little bit forced and not genuine at all. 'You can call me E'vesdar, if you would like' the smile fades and his eyes follow the flow of her mane, and finally stick to the clouds. 'I've never seen you before' he concludes in his deep rough voice.

No dreams within her heart, but dreams of love
rank one sabel

The rain had started falling slowly, steadily building up to a drumming downfall of droplets pounding determinedly upon Sabel's pelt as she roamed across the grassy knoll. Rain was welcome; rain was life out here in the wild. Rain was as wild and free as she was, for no one could tell the rain when to come or when to cease its torrential downpour. Rain did as it pleased, and rain never had to answer probing questions from the curious passerby. She was as such as well, and she ought to be; she had fashioned herself to answer to no one. Something in her blood coursed quickly whenever a breeze ruffled her mane, or even now, when wet bullets bombarded her mottled, golden coat. She felt the urge to take a deep breath and then launch herself into the air, to gallop like she would never have to slow. Like there was no tomorrow . . .
Her thoughts grew weary, all of a sudden. Rain could be treacherous as much as it was cleansing. Out of nowhere, the rain could begin to flood, or play tricks on a horse's footing and send them crashing downward, possibly to break a leg or neck. Breaking anything was most certainly a death sentence in the wild, for then you were vulnerable and open for attack with no means to run for cover. All because of a whimsical droplet of rain. Rain was rain, though, and Sabel thought sadly to herself that one should never be angry with the rain. Rain simply did not know how to fall upwards; she simply did not know how to be normal. Letting out a breath of air, her sides slowly shifting, she looked upwards at the skies and blinked the champagne eyes of hers. Sometimes her eyes were liquid fire, but at the moment, they were merely cooled topaz, gazing up into the rain like it was a cathartic message.
Her body flinched, and the sound of hooves caused her to flick her ears as her head swung down and around to see whom approached her. A dark, tall stallion ambled toward her, looking indifferent for the most part at her presence. The orbs that peered at her momentarily were golden, and strikingly familiar; they were nearly the same shade as her own, she mused. The white stripe blazing down his face seemed dull and muddied in the rain, though, and somehow she could feel the burden of whatever troubled him through the air. He spoke, revealing a deceptively charming voice, deep and stirring. She felt he was merely going through the motions of conversation though, and wondered what was distracting him. He had a sense of humor, but a dampened one at present. 'No, perhaps it is not a good time to be out walking...but I do believe that depends on whom you ask.' She replied, turning all the way so that she faced him, her tail swooping behind her in a graceful arc even in its drenched state.
He was very strong looking, a regal in a way. She wondered who he really was, beyond what a name could say about anyone. Was he someone of import? Or just...someone such as herself, lost and lonely. She was only just barely protected from the evils that haunted this land, and she knew no one her. He was the first to approach her and make his introduction, however lackluster it may be. Perhaps, he felt inclined to do so, as if it were his obligation or duty. That would mean he was someone with power, someone who knew things. Looking at his muscular and experienced frame, she supposed he probably was someone to be reckoned with, even when he was distracted as now. She tilted her head, intrigued as to why she was worth meeting. 'I have not met anyone who dwells here, so no, you have never seen me before.' She glanced off into the distance, pondering what her next move should be. Would he want to continue to talk, or would he grimly welcome her and then shuffle on his way to whatever preoccupied his thoughts? Would she ever feel at home here? But what haunted her most of all was the question she pushed away and blinked to be rid of. No, she scolded herself. No one would ever love her, or care for her. She had to stop hoping and learn to be content with herself. 'My name is Sabel.'

[ENG] mercy is bad for the vision Ves2

mercy is bad for the vision
emperor e'vesdar

The rain keeps falling from the sky and drenched in the cold fluid he shivers, it was a cold day although the winter was nearing it's end. He would miss the cold days of the winter, the white snow and the fresh rain, he loved the dark and moody clouds he always felt more in peace when the sky was dark and unpredictable. But soon all this would end and the sunny seasons would start all over, foals would be born and many mares and stallions would fall in love, like each year. None would think about the terrible creatures in the dark, for once they would be happy and enjoy being alive, it always made him smile. Still it wasn't something he would do, he wasn't the one to fall in love and throw himself into it, he rather watches from a distance and wait until the feeling fades, in the end none would stick with him any way. Maybe he was to egocentric for that.

But there were times he longed for some love and felt the loneliness pushing against his skin, grasping towards his throat. He never felt love though, his parents were murdered when he was just some weeks old, he had never felt the warmt or love from a parent, nor from a lover. He had liked Sarafina, maybe he even adored her, but he never felt that crushing desire to never leave her side, to always be with her. Eventually she drove him insane and his inner beast attacked her, he'd never forgive himself, and he'd never again care for someone. He always drove them away in the end anyway.

When her voice abrupts his never ending thoughts he raises his head and chuckles softly, she had a point, he loved this weather while others would call him insane. 'You make a good point there' he says softly, more like a whisper in the wind. He raises his robust head and he finds her smoldering golden eyes. She had gorgeous eyes, they reminded him of Flight, a shiver goes down his spine and a muggy feel spreads through his body. Flight could make him go insane with only looking at him, and it didn't amuse him at all that the stallion now controlled his mind to. Again her soft voice interrupts his thoughts and he smiles, a gentle and small smile. 'It's a pleasure to meet you Sabel, I go by the name E'vesdar' A slightly dark but charming grin graces his lips when he locks his eyes in hers.

A cool breeze full of winter's chill swept through her mane, ruffling the curling tendrils of ebon as she held the stallion's gaze. For a brief moment in time, she felt she had his full attention; perhaps, it was the way he seemed to be completely committing her to his memory, as if the longer he looked at her the more resolute her image would be in his mind. She felt a slight thrill pulse deep within her, a kindling flicker of excitement, intrigue. He had the most charming voice, as if he could weave riddles and rhymes like strands of thread, spinning together in a dancing pattern sure to enchant any who would listen. Was he this charming to everyone he came across? She could not be sure. He smile seemed hauntingly inviting, though she could be misinterpreting it. She was not sure, but she wanted to know. 'What's a charming stallion such as yourself looking for out here?'
She slowly blinked after her words had been freed to the wind. She had never been particularly direct, but she was a huntress. When she wanted something, it would take an absolute to convince her to give up the chase, such as the promise that there would be no catch. She whimsically flicked her head, turning to stare as the pale sun began to descend in the sky. Through the rain and fog of winter the glowing orb was barely visible at all, but she could see it making its way beneath the horizon, slowly, leaving a trail of inky darkness in its wake. It would be night soon, and then she would need to find shelter in the territory she had been told was her new home upon arriving in this new land. She had heard the tales of the curse that haunted the hills and beaches here, but had not witnessed the gravity of the situation personally, and so her curiosity was always egging her on. She wondered what a Shade looked like, how they acted, if they were truly as eerie as the legends told. She knew she needed to watch herself and rein in her wandering mind: curiosity killed the cat, after all.
The stallion, E'vesdar, probably knew about the Shades. He looked strong enough that he had probably had experience with them as well. She really did need to figure out just who he was, and what he might be to her. She retrained her eyes on him, directing her curiosity back towards him. He still hadn't answered her. 'Cat got your tongue?'

She was funny, and charming. She charmed him with such ease that he founds himself smiling once again, something that didn't occur so much. Yet it also didn't occur much that a mare would call him charming, the ones he had met either hated him or just wanted to feel the graces of his high rank. There were some who had earned his trust, not many though. There was the beautiful Lye'et who had always been a part of his life, she's always been his little sister and it wouldn't ever be different, he loved her with all his heart and won't ever give up on her, he knew she'd make it back out of her depression. And then there was Delaney, a mare he knew well and could easily feel what was wrong whenever she visited, yet she didn't knew him at all and he always felt a bit torn with that. And last but not least there was Yrdaice, he'd always love that irritating but trustworthy mare, and that was the big problem she would never have a normal life with him and he had to let her go. That were the three mares that deserved his loyalty, he'd always be there for them no matter what.

It started to frustrate him a bit that he easily drove away on the never ending flood of his thoughts. When she reminds him about her question he shakes his head with an apologetic look. 'I'm so sorry, my thoughts have the tendency to lure me into never ending memories of the past' A sorry smile graces his lips and he find himself once again staring at her. 'Well this charming stallion is just looking for some peace, far away from the storm of duties and the normal life. What about you darling?' Although he had never, ever made a move on a mare the charming smile and nickname came with such ease he was surprised with himself.

He tried to remain his look, and attention to her to make sure she wouldn't feel ignored, he felt bad that he so easily drove off on his thoughts. It was probably one of the main reasons he didn't talk that much with others, they always felt ignored or attacked with his harsh and cold words. She had met him in a better mood today though, his mind was calm and he could easily laugh, it was probably the weather that made him feel comfortable. You wouldn't want to encounter him whenever Rys was around, the black panther he controlled with his mind could do things he'd never forgive himself. A little peace and self reflection was crucial for E'vesdar, it made him peaceful and calm and made sure he didn't had a tantrum.

Sabel felt a pang of sympathy when E'vesdar mentioned his memories. She knew all too well how easy it was to become lost in the past, searching through the moments that had already happened as if hoping for some hidden answer, or maybe something better: something like absolution. She had many times found herself looking to her memories for answers for the future. How had she handled her problems before, what could she do differently to improve her situation, what did she do wrong? That was the question she could never answer. What did she do wrong...All her life she had felt like she was wrong, simply because of the way she appeared on the outside. Her speckled, golden coat had cost her a happy childhood, and even though now she was afforded admiration for her 'beauty', she was never sure if it was entirely worth it. Looking at herself in pools of water and finding everything that was wrong with herself was her hobby.
Her mind got caught up on the word 'darling' after the face with the white stripe had said it, and with such a dazzling voice too. He was gazing intently at her, and she became immediately self conscious. Again, her looks had granted her attention she most likely would not command if she had never mysteriously gained her spots. She wasn't so sure if she minded this time, though. He was charming, handsome, and obviously strong. He seemed to carry a heavy burden, but then again, so did she. She cocked her head at him, amused and weighing her options. She had to admit it to herself, she was attracted to him. She just wasn't sure if she should get her hopes up. Was he only interested because she was unique to look at? Or was he perhaps just seeking a distraction from his troubles? She didn't think he was the type to lead her on, but, she did not have much experience with those kinds of stallions, so she could never be sure. His golden eyes stayed trained on her, though, and she realized she had his full attention.
'I suppose I am doing the same. Looking for answers, but only finding more questions, such as whether or not I'm getting into trouble. I tend to try to avoid trouble...' She blinked, flashing her lashes as she did so, and then shook herself free of all the rain that had collected in her coat. It barely did any good, as the rain was continuing to shimmer down endlessly, but she felt better and lighter afterwards. He hadn't said anything yet, so she turned and walked lightly over to the crest of the small hill she had been on before he'd called to her in the first place. The sun was nearly gone now, just barely peeking up over the horizon in a final farewell to day. The purpled sky was glorious to look at in this dusky twilight hour, with rain falling as the brilliance shone overhead despite it all. The world could be so beautiful sometimes, though most preferred not to see that, she thought. She wished she could be like the sky, endless and beautiful and free. She glanced over her shoulder and saw that he was still watching her, thoughtfully, she supposed. She offered him a small smile, and added finally, 'I could make an exception for you, though.' And then she looked back at the sky and waited.

He was sure she had meant him when she was talking about avoiding trouble, maybe he was trouble, he didn't know. He always tried to do what was right, but he had messed it up more than once. And he wasn't afraid to do horrible thing to get done what was right, some may call him bad but he just fought for justice no matter how hard he had to. His eyes follow the pattern of her coat, hypnotised by her beauty. Her long brown manes curled into each other and sticked to her coat, even though she probably was cold to the bone she looked pretty. A little smile graces her lips and he finds himself smiling once again. Her soft voice catches his attention and he follows her gaze with his eyes, he saw her smile, heard her soft words. He chuckles, a charming smile gracing his lips. 'I'm not someone to get involved with, really darling'

His eyes drift away with the clouds and he longed to stretch his legs and make a good run, there was nothing better than a good run. The wind in your hair and the sun on your skin. He loved to run, he loved to go till his body was about to give up. He loved the numb feeling, the pain that spread through his limbs. He loved the feel of being alive, there was nothing better in the world.

He flicks his ears forward and his eyes find hers again. 'You want to go for a walk? I could use some company' He raises his head, his muscles writhing under his coat. The sun went down and a blueish shine took over the land, in the distance the noise of the sea became clear. 'What do you say about a stroll on the beach, love?' His eyes shimmer in the blue moonlight and he grins.

Her breath caught in her chest at his responses. He claimed he was not someone to get involved with, and yet he stood there, encouraging her to proceed. He invited her to walk with him...in the moonlight on the beach. His words told her one thing and his eyes another; oh, this one spoke in riddles and tricks, and she was utterly captivated. He said do not get involved, but then he his body, his eyes, his voice all seemed to scream at her, 'by all means, get involved.' She might like it, she realized. She turned back toward him, bashfully blinking and stepping toward him in so very a feline manner. He was very flirtatious with his phrasing, she thought. Darling, love...they had only just met really and already she felt very comfortable around him. He put her a little bit on edge with his hidden motives, and she was sure he had some ulterior purposes in what he was doing, but there was a side of her that ignored that. She did not listen to the small voice inside telling her that he was definitely trouble, that he was up to something, that she was being far too ambitious.
'A moonlit stroll, is it? How romantic.' She waltzed up to him so that she could feel his warm breath caressing her face as it came out in small puffs from his nostrils. She gazed up into his flaming eyes, like melting honey even in the cold breeze, and let her lips curl into a gregarious, charming smile. She could play it coy as well as any other mare could, she told herself. She tossed her curls slightly, shaking her head ever so gently so that her scent wafted through the small space between them, tempting as best she could. Then, she turn away as if completely uninterested all of a sudden. She shuffled past him, brushing his side against her own as she did, purposely, and walked off a few steps to stare up at the rising moon. It was gleaming blue, a haunting symbol of the time that was dawning upon the land. She knew what it meant, but yet she somehow felt safe with E'vesdar nearby. She glanced back to see if he was watching her, but only gave him a brief moment of her attention. 'I prefer something a little...more on the wild side.' She commented coquettishly, and then, with a flick of her endless tail, she took off at a gallop down the hill, racing toward the sandy white beach, gleaming in the darkness. She listened to see if he was following, silently hoping he would.

[ENG] mercy is bad for the vision Ves2

mercy is bad for the vision
emperor e'vesdar

Maybe it wasn't smart, maybe it was just plain stupid. But he liked her flirtatious smile, and she made him feel as if he cared to someone. She made him feel comfortable, and he liked the feeling. And that was a bad thing, with his role as emperor it wasn't good to have loved ones. he was already scared for the sake of his two sons, he had no need to care about a mare too. And yet it felt good, no mare had ever shown that much interest in his life, or ever looked at him the way she did. It felt as if the loneliness faded away from his veins and his hunger for company was stilled, for at least now. Still he couldn't get rid of the terrible feeling that he betrayed Morrow, although she had made it very clear that she couldn't care less about him. A sigh leaves his lips and the whirlwind of thoughts takes over again.

When the soft charming voice of Sabel reaches his ears he glances at her, a soft smile gracing his lips. Shen did he ever started to like the female population again? Maybe it had been Morrow who had changed his mind, she had shown that not every mare used her beauty to get what she wants. Morrow had made it very clear that she didn't wanted anything from him. Ah well, why should he care? As stated before, he couldn't use a mare in his life anyway.

A slightly charming but less flirtatious grin graces his lips when his eyes finds hers once again. 'I'm not sure about the romantic part, but I could go for a run' His dark eyes glow like smoldering coals when he looks at her, just catching the last bit of that gregarious, charming smile. She tossed her curls slightly, shaking her head ever so gently so that her scent wafted through the small space between them, her scent was deep and fresh like the smell of grass during dawn, or flowers in spring. And then she turned away, as if she had lost interest in him. Maybe it was for the best, though he couldn't get rid of the feeling that he longed for love. He had to admit that she charmed him, and he would have easily give in to her if it wasn't for his conscious to stop him. She deserved better than him, she deserved someone who would actually care about her, someone who would love her, and he wouldn't, that was one thing to be sure of.

Maybe he had been to flirtatious with his phrasing, but he had always called Lye'et his love, he had always charmed Delaney with calling her his treasure. Both mares didn't like him in any way to take it seriously, it had always been normal to talk that way to mares he actually liked. Somehow he always got entangled in the big brother role, and he didn't mind it, the mare that actually made him feel love still had to enter his life, if that would ever happen. 'I prefer something a little...more on the wild side.' She commented coquettishly and a charming grin graces his lips when he watches her take off. Smooth and gracious like a catlike creature she moves her slender body down to the beach. A whiny thunders in the air, although it sounded more like a roar. With strength he moves his long legs under his body and takes off in a canter, his muscles quivering under his coat. Little clouds of white air leave his nostrils and his long manes sway in the wind. 'Well I'm sure I'll be able to be wild' he grins.

No dreams within her heart, but dreams of love

The thundering of answering hooves pounded like a drum behind her, booming each time a hoof made contact with the dampened earth. The sound was musical, and primal like a wild dance. When the sand came up underneath her hooves, Sabel heard the soft swishing sound as the moist grit sifted beneath her weight. The wind blew her mane backward in a curling arc, her curls swaying graceful in the breeze and her eyes dancing with mirth. This was freedom, this was life. She was nearly gliding across the beach as she lithely skimmed across the surface of the sandy shore, and it made her feel exuberant, adrenaline surging delightfully through her veins. She tossed her head upward, whinnying jubilantly as she thundered onwards.
Her sprinters' body began to tire shortly thereafter, and she found herself slowing, but still enjoying the run nonetheless. She could heard E'vesdar elegantly thundering along behind her, probably gaining on her now that she was tiring out. She snorted to clear her breathing up after her sprint, and then looked up yet again that night. The Blue Moon was ever high and bright in the sky, and though she should feel scared and should probably be with the herd, safe and guarded, she was not. She was out running across a beach in the dead of night with a stallion she had only just met, and better yet, she was enjoying herself. She hadn't simply taken pleasure in the small things in so long. She found herself laughing at that thought. How good it felt to laugh, to enjoy, to feel like there was something worth existing for. She glanced over her shoulder at the stallion, dark and handsome with the moon's blue rays shimmering down on him in an almost eerie light, but deceptively beautiful all the same.
She smiled, wondering what he was thinking. Was he enjoying this moment as much as she? Was the race making his coat prickle like pins at the excitement and thrill of it? Was he enjoying her company as much as she was his, she wondered most of all. Or, perhaps his thoughts were completely elsewhere, and he was merely humoring her. That had been her suspicion all along, but he seemed so very willing to stick around that she was not sure what to believe. Should she doubt, or should she hope. Hope had never gotten her very far, but doubt had always been her saving grace. A trace of melancholy ghosted her eyes, at that, and she quickly looked away in a vain attempt to hide her worries. It would do no one any good for her to lose her composure.
She flicked her tail as she steeled herself, and then she veered off so that she splashed right into the breaking waves as they crashed over her and embraced her long legs. It was cool water, rejuvenating and reviving. She felt somewhat better at the starkness of it, prancing nimbly about and kicking up waves wherever she went. The water was hauntingly blue, like it possessed some magical quality that was weaving a spell about her; but that was simply her overactive imagination running away with her. Still...she felt something magical in the air. She just couldn't place what it might be. She looked once more at E'vesdar, offering up a smile to cover up her sadness only moments ago. She said nothing, for what could she say? That she was hopeful, but afraid to hope? In some moments, there were simply no words to be said.

The eerie bluish shine of the moon drowned the land in light, something that occurred once a month. He felt bad for not being there when his fellow leaders needed him, but he also couldn’t leave this mare alone as feed for the predators, he actually liked her to much to leave her at all. Yet he had a feeling that teared him apart, he wasn’t where he was needed. His glowing orange eyes follow the prints, gaze upon the dusting sand, and try to define the silhouette of Sabel in the distance. He narrows his eyes and is able to see her slender body moving gracious through the thick and loose sand. With every step along the sand rubs his legs, lashes on his stomach. He liked the feeling of pain, somehow he felt alive when he pushed his body beyond its boundaries.

His hooves thunder on the loose sand, spreading dust like a whirlwind around him. His long manes sway upon the wind and lash against his broad neck. He had the body for long distances. Before he had settled down in Blue Moon Horses he had always travelled far and mostly in a high pace. So he had no hard time with keeping up with her. He flicks his head and stretches his neck, a small smirk gracing his lips, amused, slightly dark and unpredictable. His opaque eyes glow aggressive and belligerent, he had always been a fanatic runner and as a fanatic runner he liked to win. His strong legs move quickly and effortlessly through the loose sand and in a quick pace he finds himself shoulder to shoulder with Sabel. He turns his broad neck and let his eyes slide over her face, her gaze upon the distance and a melancholy ghosted in her eyes. She quickly looked away and E’vesdar decides to let it be nothing more than a memory that would quickly vanish in his never-ending thoughts. Though he couldn’t let go of the feeling that something was bothering her.
The mare flicks her endless tail, the soft satin-like hair caress his skin for a quick, but yet never ending moment. The place where she had touched him felt warm and sultry, he longed for another touch that could excite his nerves, it had been four very long years without a female’s touch.

The sound of crushing waves reaches his ears and he flicks his head, his eyes following the trail of white waves of water that splash against her long legs and embrace her beautiful slender body. A childish, slightly boy-like smile grace his lips when he gazes upon her, even with waves crushing her small and thin body she looked gracious. He races his front legs and pushes off the loose ground, soaring through the cold and frigid air.. and then his body crashes in the waves, his mane and tail sticky against his black body, his eyes widened and searching for Sabel. The water feels cold but rejuvenating, it stings in his legs and a numb feeling is slowly spreading though his veins. He liked being numb.
She offers him a smile, a vain attempt to cover up her sadness moments ago, he smiles back, trying to comfort her somehow. ‘I may be trouble in your eyes, but I’m a pretty good listener as well’ he states, raising his head and lowering his gaze till he finds her gold eyes, like melting honey.

No dreams within her heart, but dreams of love

One, two, three, oh there were simply too many to count. The stars were infinite in number and littered the night sky like flecks of white paint thrown across a dark, inky black canvas. The Blue Moon was finally waning, and with its lapse was also the minimizing risk of Shades attacking from the cloak of darkness. The stars seemed to twinkle and glow brightly as if encouraging the Blue Moon to disappear, shining their will like silent yells and screams, pulsing like triumph. There was a celestial battle taking place in the sky, she realized, the same as the one on the ground between Shades and horses. The Blue Moon was like the Titan Kronos, the stars all of his children raising up in revolt against his tyranny. The stars pushed and fought to hold Kronos to his dark chamber, a silent prison in the sky, but every so often Kronos rallied his strength and pushed his children back for a few nights to release his minions in a never-ending cycle of push and pull. It was an interesting concept, she mused.
E'vesdar was beside her in the salty sway, watching her with that way of his that seemed to be always half elsewhere and yet still half present as well. Perhaps, she'd adopted that look somewhat herself, she thought. She had just been thinking about abstract battles in the sky rather than focusing on his smoldering eyes gazing like flames at her. She swore for a second she believed he could see clear through her and straight to her soul. She blinked, trying to mask her innermost thoughts; she did not like that old saying about one's eyes being the window to their soul. She would not be so transparent as that, she scolded herself. She must maintain her air of mystery somewhat, at least, if she ever hoped to get through this without emotionally damaging herself for life. Perhaps, she already was damaged, though. Her foalhood had made sure of that...It was not a happy thought.
She shoved it aside just in time to hear the stallion speak. She smiled sadly in response. Looking away and gazing up at the sky yet again, she replied keeping her eyes to herself, 'I would not bother you with my petty thoughts, and I'm sure you'll fare all the better for not knowing them in the end.' As she peered silently, like a statue almost, the sky captured her attention yet again. She could whisper her worries to the stars and have sanctuary in their silent reception. She seemed like a marble angel, then, as she gazed solemnly. A weeping statue gazing at the sky, pondering what she could never have, and a single tear drop quietly bidding farewell and rolling away to a watery grave below. A shooting star danced across the inkiness before her, perhaps a promise to something she did not yet understand, or maybe simply mocking her futile hopes. She sighed low and long. 'It would be pointless...'

* I am typing from my phone in france, I am very sorry for grammatical mistakes

Evesdar gazed at her, his traditional grin slowly fading into the never ending dark of the night. There was something wrong, it wasnt just the look, that she tried so hard to hide. There was more to this girl than he would probably ever know. Maybe it was the way he had treated her, maybe it wasnt okay to be charming and let her get her hopes up, even though he couldnt understand what a smart girl like her woul see in a scarred stallion as himself. He smiles at her, desperately trying to comfort her in any way, not really his best trait.

"There's always a point in getting it out of the air and off your chest. And besides that, a stranger, like myself, has a fresh look on the situation. If I may be so bold to imply"

His eyes smolder in the soft moonlight and a friendly and honost smile graces his lips. He may not be the best one to get involved with, he sure was trustworthy and able to help her with whatever troubled her mind.

"As stated before, my mind has the tendacy to lure me into never ending whirlwinds of thoughts. I know what it feels like to be an outcast, I rely on my own thoughts if I want company. And I can assure you that the discussions arn't very pleasent at all. I am really grateful you decided to join me"

He feels the gold water splash against his legs and the feeling of thousends of needles sticking in his skin takes away his breath for a moment. He moves his robust posture to the shore where he focussed his eyes once again in hers, she was a devine creature. That was one thing he was sure about.

She felt the oddest tugging sensations deep within her chest at his words, each one of them a musical note rolling off the tip of his tongue like a melody being composed with the breath he exhaled. He wanted her to confide in him, it would seem. Oh, how she longed to do just that; but how? How could she possibly tell him what was truly bothering her? It would not be proper for her to simply say it. For her to admit she wanted things from him which she doubted he ever could or want to offer. That was the bottom line, when it all came down to it. She wanted something she could not have, and it was oh so classic her. She was always longing for the bees' honeycomb, blindly unaware of the stingers in between it and herself. The question was, who was the honeycomb and who the bee? She could sting as swiftly as any other, she was simply slower to provoke. She was a reactor. Irritate her, poke her with a prod, and then she'd be the baited bear rising high on its hind legs and roaring. She wasn't truly a bear, though, she thought to herself. She would rather flee than fight, were she to be completely honest about the entire metaphor. She would fight if it was worth sacrificing herself for, though. But, only then...
She would run until then. Be it physically, her hooves carrying her far away across distances most would not think to attempt; or emotionally. She would construct a wall and keep everyone out, even herself if need be. She simply had to learn to keep this sensitive side of herself in check, and she was determined to do so. After that his words seemed to bounce off her, repelled and blocked from her steeled decision. This stallion did not want her, she told herself, and so she must think of him as something else. 'I am really grateful you decided to join me.' She heard him finish, and for a second her resolve weakened, but then she reminded herself he was only being polite. He was not meaning it the way she had originally assumed he was. She smiled meekly at him, his long mane draping over his neck and brushing the surface of the water they stood in. He really was ruggedly handsome, she couldn't help but notice again. She shrugged slowly, and finally replied, 'I wish I could tell you, honestly, I do. But, I'm afraid I would be embarrassed, and...well, it's really nothing to worry about. I'm sure you have much more important things to think about than a silly mare's idle hopes and fancies.'

She wasn't going to talk about her sorrows, and he didn't want to push any further. A slight grin grace his lips and he raises his shoulders as if saying; whatever you want. His gloomy eyes get caught in her stormy hazelnut eyes, but he is able to let it slip through his fingers as if she never brought up any of her sorrows. 'I do have more important things to worry about-' taken in mind that he didn't tell her about his position, and that he wasn't going to, he had to come up with something if she asked about it '-but I'd rather hear about your idle hopes and fancies' He raises his robust head, the white a-symmetrical marking on his face slightly glowing in the moonlight. 'I'll tell you my hopes, if that will make you feel better' A charming smile graces his lips before he flicks his head and let his eyes get caught by the waves.

'I've had a family a long time ago, in a land very far away. My firstborn was a son O'delden, he was my everything after what I've been through, he was a new blanc canvas, pure and innocent. His life was ready to be drawn and colored, I would be able to correct the faults I made in my childhood. But the force of nature took him away from me before he even turned three. My hope is to see him some day in this life or the next' Although he knew it was not a very fair hope -he wasn't ever going to see O'delden again- he felt relaxed to speak it out. 'In the meantime I have two other sons to care about' A tender smile grace his lips when he thinks about them. 'What about you Sabel?' His eyes find hers and stare for a moment. 'Give me a look inside that pretty head of yours'

Did his charm know no bounds? Probably not, but that was most likely just the way he was, she supposed. It was starting to become easy to absorb, once she was sure that was simply his way and not anything more. It still made her blood race in a way she didn't entirely like, but nor did she hate it, she admitted reluctantly. Opening up about his past, she saw a raw sadness in his fierce, flaming eyes, the pain of his loss tangible in the air for the moment when he allowed it. The warmest emotion she'd seen him express so far graced his expression at the mention of his two living sons, though, and she felt drawn to that emotion somehow. The thought of him feeling that strongly for anyone was compelling; she wished he'd direct it toward her someday. But, that was folly, she reminded herself. The magnetism he gave off was going to be her undoing if she wasn't careful.
When he turned the tables back toward her, she smiled shyly. 'Beauty is as beauty does.' She replied vaguely. She had to admit, she did feel more like sharing now though. Perhaps not her unchecked feelings in the present moment, which she wasn't quite sure she understood all that well anyways, but her past she might divulge on. There was nothing to lose, she thought grimly. 'I don't have a family, not anymore. The ones who called me daughter no longer think on me...I am dead to them, or perhaps I never existed at all. Take your pick.' Saying it so bluntly out loud made her feel suddenly bleak, as if she were floating back in time to the time when her past had been the present, unfolding before her like a tragic story only getting darker with each turn of the page. She sighed deeply and strode past the bulky stallion, walking ashore, dripping on the sand and feeling a chill reach her dampened skin beneath the speckled coat. She had begun her story, though, and now she felt honor-bound to continue. She turned her head to the stallion again, her visage serious and melancholy. She was lost and found by the fire in his eyes...
'I didn't always look like this, you know. I was normal once; no one to single out or gawk at. Just, average like any other foal born to nobody parents. It was when these spots arrived that the shadow of trouble followed. I don't know how it happened, I most likely never will; and I've long since accepted that. What did happen was not fortunate, though. I was suddenly different, ugly, a blemish upon the savored normality of the herd. Cursed and doomed was I, never to be loved or accepted. I spent many a day alone and isolated with only my thoughts for company; it was all I could do to keep from drowning in my loneliness, and now I don't quite know how to live without that time to think. I grew up an outsider, a castoff. But, when I finally did return to my herd with all of my three years then in tow, they changed their tune. They wanted me then, once I had become what I am today. I could not stay though, could not bear their fickleness and the shallow way in which they regarded me. The ugly duckling who becomes a swan must spread wings, take flight, and soar. I don't know if I ever landed, or if I'm still soaring now. Someday, I suppose when I come crashing down, then I'll know for sure.' She shrugged, feeling like she'd just revealed much more about herself than she'd ever expected to. Her lashes batted shyly, her insecurities rising as she weighed his reaction in her eyes.

The sound of waves crashing on the shore, the wind blowing through his manes, it all vanishes when she starts talking. Her voice softly, with an insecure tone to it, another side to the mare he just met. How longer she's talking how stronger her voice gets, at some point it seems as if she's forgotten about E'vesdar and just tells her story to maybe let go of it. Her story is intriguing and E'vesdar takes in every word she speaks, every little sigh that leaves her thin lips doesn't go unnoticed. After she stops, her last words a bit depressing he raises his head, but stays quiet for a bit. His eyes follow the curves of her slender face, her strong cheekbones and large expressive eyes. He watches as she flashes her lashes and looks up to him. She shrugs and E'vesdar feels bad for her, she probably told him more about herself than she had to anybody in a long time.

'I am very sorry for you' he sighs softly. 'If I know one thing it is how to be the outsider, I've been one my entire life. As soon as my parents were killed I was nothing more than just property of the kingdom. As soon as they know you're different they'll see you as danger' He sighs again, feeling how the rage streams through his vains. He has always been an outsider, and even when he got into the high circles they didn't accept him and threw him out whenever something suspicious happened. He never cared though, but it saddens him that society these days couldn't accept living beings being a bit more odd than normal. 'I think you're a beautiful individual, you made me laugh and I haven't in a very long time. There's no reason to be insecure, absolutely not' He smiles gracefully, hoping to make her feel comfortable.

She smiled at his words, feeling at ease and comforted. His charming voice was so lulling and serene, like a gentle wisp of wind caressing her cheek as it swept lazily by. 'I'm not so insecure when I'm around you.' And she meant it. It was as if she didn't have to worry about being vulnerable and getting taken advantage of, in any way. She'd been through that before and she knew what to avoid by now, and looking at E'vesdar, she knew she could trust him. He did not mean her any harm, she was sure. He had never once given her that impression, and it made her feel very at home. He seemed like he truly understood where she was coming from, and it made her long to show him that same consideration.
'Thank you, for listening. For sharing. I haven't felt like trusting anybody with my past in a long time. The last time I shared with anyone, they were dead not long afterwards. I can't say I'm afraid you'll suffer that same fate.' She chuckled at her compliment, wondering if it sounded half as prettily out loud as it had in her mind. She was beginning to accept that her expectations previously had been a bit romanticized, and that was enjoying this stallion's company whether or not it might be more than a friendship. The truth was, it could be more difficult to have a friend than a lover, she thought. But, she would very much value his friendship. She had only ever had one friend, but not any longer. She wondered if E'vesdar had many friends, then. Would she be good for him too, or was she a dime a dozen? It was so difficult to tell, and she wasn't quite sure how one went about becoming friends. She'd only done it once, but she didn't remember having to think so much about it then. All she could do was smile as she thought. Perhaps, she should just continue to get to know this enchanting stallion. That sounded like the right way to go, and so she spoke softly, 'Do you miss your other two sons? Where are they now?'

Her story reminded him much of his own. He didn't had much friends in the past, the only one he had when he was younger betrayed him and left him for dead. He had known some since that day, Lerav was one that he truly beloved, but none really stood with him when he had a hard time. Delaney called herself his friend, but he doubted that, she never asked anything about his past and didn't take any time to really get to know him at all. He liked her presence in the start, she had a lot of problems and gave him something to do and distract him from al his problems. But at the moment he's just to busy to be bothered with all her drama, there was never time for him to open up about his problems and that made him sad. Then there were Flight and Morrow, Flight who was like a storm and teared him apart with just one single glance, that stallion made him feel like melting wax, there was a connection that he could not explain. And although he felt great with Flight, he never felt like he could really get something off his chest. And with Morrow was a whole other situation, he was actually sure she was still plotting his death.

So his conclusion was that he could actually use a friend, maybe it was a good time to let his guard down and show some interest in getting to know others. When his eyes find hers he smiles, her voice is soft and graceful and he's thankful that she feels secure around him. 'I am glad you think so. And you don't have to worry, I've kept standing in the worst part of my life, I think I can handle it' he grins. When she asks about his sons he smiles and let is eyes get caught by the waves. 'My eldest is E'rayhon, he was in the third rank when I last saw him, he's been away for a while and I miss him terribly. My youngest is Roque, he's the Gamma on the second rank, I've raised him by myself but he still has a hard time without his mother' A sigh leaves his lips.

*omg, it's so terrible, so sorry D:

* Oh hush, you, it is not terrible. c:

'You seem so happy when you speak of them. I'm glad for you.' Sabel replied without having to think, once she had heard what E'vesdar had had to say. His eyes truly did light up when he mentioned his sons' names, how they were doing and where they were now. She envied him that, she realized, surprised at herself. She had never been a mother, nor had she ever given the idea much thought. She didn't know how she would handle that kind of responsibility, if it would lift her up or drag her down. She supposed she'd like the chance to find out someday, though...someday. Under the right circumstances, she could see herself enjoying a family. She had virtually never even had one of her own, though. She would want to make sure her own was happy and strong, and real. So very real.
'I can understand Roque's difficulty without his mother...My own disowned me, as I've mentioned.' She blinked sadly, remembered. But, she pushed that thought aside. She wondered who Roque's mother was, and what had happened to her, but she did not want to be too nosy. The small sigh that had escaped the stallion's lips upon uttering the word mother had seemed to speak of untold sadness and tragedy. That was not something she was going to go digging around for, not unless he openly told her about it first. It just seemed far too rude, and she would feel guilty about doing so. Instead, she let it lie and said, 'I've never been a mother. The one time I might have been...' She paused, not sure how to go on from there once she remembered the scorching gaze of the demanding stallion who had longed so secretly for her. How was she to have known? It was her fault, though, for not seeing what he wanted in his eyes, or that he would lead her into his web of deceit and desire. She tossed her mane, her eyes burning for a second as she recalled that brutish face, the smirk that haunted her dreams occasionally. She would hopefully never see those eyes again, though whether or not they lived on she did not know. 'That would have been a mistake.' She finished, after a pause while her thoughts had run away with her. She slightly tossed her mane, letting her mind refocus as her eyes cleared.

[ENG] mercy is bad for the vision Ves2

mercy is bad for the vision
emperor e'vesdar

He loved them both dearly, the sudden realisation that hit him when O'delden died made sure that he never ever let one of his offspring get away without knowing him. He wanted to cherish and love them until his dying day, he didn't want them to feel unwanted in any way, he didn't want them to feel like he had when he was younger. Being an orphan never really struck in until he saw the relation between other fathers and sons, he never had a father that he knew and it hit him hard. Since then he has always longed to become the father he never had, and although he started terribly with both of his sons, he was thankful that they both included him in their life. He listens to Sabels soft voice and he smile, tender and caring, his beautiful bubble not yet bursted. 'I've never had a family of my own, and although a loving partner doesn't seem to fit into my life, my sons certainly do, they are the only family I have'

When talking about Roque E'vesdar his gaze lowers and sank into the waves. Roque was the trouble one of the pair, although he loved his so very much, he did regret that one day with Darlica; the mother of Roque. She had been very seducing, and tried to cross boundaries that he didn't wanted to be crossed. She finally toke it to far and E'vesdar lost his mind, Roque wasn't made out of love, yet he wasn't a child of hate. E'vesdar could've really cared for Darlica if she didn't dump her foal with him, that day he lost all his respect for that mare. 'His mother never wanted a foal, neither was I longing to start a family. She played a game, like so many mares around here. She was terrified when she got pregnant and dumped Roque with me as soon as he was born. I've never seen her again, but as I've heard she's having an affaire with a shade. Well whatever suits her' He flicks his head, his orange eyes bursting with a sudden rage.

He hears her soft voice and turns his head to her. He felt it before she actually said it, she could've been a mother. 'I am terribly sorry for you' his voice soft and hopefully comforting. Her pause gives him the possibility to softe brush his nose against her shoulder. 'You would've made a great mum' He grins, cheeky and a bit brutal.

Sabel listened intently, captured by his voice once again. He spoke of Roque's mother, and she felt a sense of disdain for a mare who merely played with this respectable stallion before her. Having an affair with a shade? That was supposedly unspeakable here, and she wondered what kind of twisted mare she was. She shook her head in disapproval of her, not able to fathom what her mindset had been when she'd thrown away E'vesdar's affection, whether it be fickle or true, or genuine or mocked. He was honorable, and he would have taken care of her despite her games, she was sure. 'It sounds like he was better off with you as a parent than her, in the end. She didn't deserve him.' Sabel noted calmly, feeling it was the truth. Not everyone was cut out to be a mother. She wasn't even sure if she was. It didn't matter right now; she had no chance of finding out anytime soon, she knew.
After she had mentioned briefly what had happened to her, E'vesdar's voice was soft and soothing. She sighed deeply, deciding it had been the right decision to reveal a bit about herself, and feeling the need to continue. He was proceeding to tell her things about himself, and so she should as well. His compliments warmed her, and made her feel privileged to get this opportunity to get to know him. He didn't seem to be the one to tell his story to everyone, she noted. Well, neither was she...really, she'd never told it to anyone before except her friend Grimoire. And Grimoire had died to save her. A slight tear pricked at her eyes upon that memory, but she blinked it away. 'Perhaps, I would have been...I'm not so sure, but I'm glad I didn't have to find out. Thank you for listening, though. As I said, I've only ever told one other horse. I considered her my only friend.' She paused after she said it. Would he want to be her friend? She smiled shyly, and felt the waves lap up against her legs like soothing silk, caressing the worry and unease out of her muscles. The coolness was refreshing and calming, like a balm for her nerves. So was E'vesdar's presence, she noted. Suddenly, the world seemed such a perfect place.

Maybe Roque was better off this way, but it didn't make it al better for him. His son had rejected his mother and written her out of his life, he had grown up without a mother figure. That was probably also the reason Roque was flirtatious, but never really wanted to settle down with a mare. A sigh leaves his lips, although he loved his sons they both had an own life and E'vesdar didn't have to care for them anymore, his family was just him at the moment and sometimes that made him sad, or even lonely. Being alone with his thoughts most of the time led to uncontrollable anger.

Listening to her soft voice he once again realices how much she has been through herself, never being accepted and losing your only friend. E'vesdar never truly believed in friends again after that dreadful night, but he sure could be one for her, he was a good listener. 'Well I'm sure they won't kill me' He chuckles when he looks at her. 'If you would ever consider me a friend of course'

No dreams within her heart, but dreams of love
rank two Sabel

A blush stole across Sabel's face at his words, joking and friendly, but full of promise and mild affection. She felt so hopeful in that moment, and optimistic to say the least. She could use a friend, so very much. Someone to confide in, to talk to, even to listen and sympathize with if need be. She wasn't very experienced with aiding others with their own problems...they never came to her with any. Grimoire had never even had a chance, she was so busy worrying about Sabel herself. Sabel would have been more than glad to listen and advise as best she could though; she certainly would have told Grimoire not to throw her life away for someone as undeserving as herself. She smiled, but tears rolled down as she did, her emotions getting the better of her. She wanted a friend, she truly did, she just hoped befriending her really wasn't the curse her old herd had so often claimed she carried. If anything should happen to E'vesdar after their friendship was established now, she would feel it was her fault, her curse. She felt selfish to want to risk it, but she needed to know the curse was only superstition and not fact.
'Of course I would consider you my friend. Gladly, E'vesdar, gladly. I only hope you are right, and that nothing bad should happen to you because of it.' She nodded slowly, her smile wavering and her emotions at odds with themselves. In the end, though, she knew it was the right thing to do. She needed to have someone to trust, and E'vesdar seemed to be the strongest of stallions she'd ever encountered. She knew he could take care of himself.

All those sleepless nights, and all those wasted days

I think we should make a new topic with Adel and Sabel right?
